ENS delivers real-time alerts when a patient in your panel is admitted, discharged, or transferred at a participating facility. You can configure the alert types, delivery methods (secure portal message, encrypted email, or SFTP delivery), and panel management approach that best fit your workflows. A daily digest option is also available for non-urgent notifications.

Direct Secure Messaging is a HIPAA-compliant, DirectTrust-certified service that replaces fax and mail for clinical communication. Your organization sends and receives health information securely using a unique Direct address, accessible through a web portal or via XDR integration with your existing EHR. No additional infrastructure is required.

The Clinical Query Portal is a secure, web-based interface that gives authorized users a single, consolidated view of a patient's health record across all participating organizations in Iowa. Rather than tracking down records from multiple systems or facilities, a clinician, care coordinator, or other authorized user can search for a patient once and see aggregated clinical data from hospitals, primary care practices, behavioral health providers, social care organizations, and imaging sources in one place. The portal presents a longitudinal view of each patient's record, including encounters, laboratory results, medications, immunizations, procedures, reports and discharge summaries. Cumulative views allow users to trend results over time and quickly identify patterns to support informed decision-making. The portal also connects to national exchange networks, including eHealth Exchange and Carequality, so authorized users can retrieve out-of-state clinical records for patients who have received care elsewhere. Patient searches are conducted using demographic information, and our statewide Master Patient Index helps identify the correct patient across all contributing systems. Results are returned in near real time. Every access event is logged in an immutable audit trail, and role-based access controls ensure users see only what they are authorized to see. Access is available via username and password, multi-factor authentication, or single sign-on through your organization's existing credentials.
